Take a Tour of Our Facility

Please come in to our main office during the day and take a tour of Andalusia.

Did you know?

• Andalusia School is aligned with the New York State Learning Standards.
• Common Core Standards are implemented in all classrooms.
• Teachers receive Professional Development to keep up with the current educational standards.
• Students are affiliated with United Way and involved in volunteer programs.
• State Test passing rate is 85%
• Computer lab provides a ratio of 1:4, computers to students
• 99% of classrooms have internet access
• Students initiate and run projects such as:
• Food drive
• Islamic Fashion Show
• Spirit Week

Elementary School

• The Common Core Curriculum is fully implemented
• Wilson’s Fundations, a research based reading program, was implemented and gave spectacular results
• Visual aids-classrooms have access to LCD projectors
• Brainpop, an interactive online teaching resource, is used in the classroom and accessible at home
• Spelling Bee-students go on to an All Islamic Bee
• Science Fair-students work collaboratively, which is part of College & Career ready objectives

Middle School

• National Junior Honor Society NJHS
• Character building events such as the Talent Show gives
students recognition of their aptitudes
• Student Council-serving to cultivate future leaders. A student
initiated book drive and fundraiser for the playground was held
• Annual sports day with team building and fun activities
• Spelling Bee and Science Fair
• Visual aids-classrooms have access to LCD projectors (YouTube videos & Documentary CDs)
• Brainpop, an interactive online teaching resource, is used in the classroom and accessible at home

High School

• 100% of graduates are accepted into 4 year colleges with 97% of graduates receiving a Regents diploma
• Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered
• Through The American Red Cross, students conducted a workshop as part of a “Healthy Eating” campaign
• The Yearbook Club published an amazing book of memories
• High school khatib program
• The Multi Subject Fair featured:
    -Social Studies Tour of the World
    -Hamlet production
    -Roller coaster, built by students, as part     of “project based learning”
